Simple Life of Me

 In my opinion, some of my blogs do meet the requirements stated by the rubric. All of my blog posts contain images that fit in with whatever my blog is discussing, such as the island of Puerto Rico, all with proper sizing and alignment. As far as following the instructions provided by each blog topic, I do what I can to fully analyze and word everything in a fluid manner. With that, I know that I have some errors in my grammar and spelling but, I try to keep them at a minimum by checking over my post before publishing. Lastly, my list of references is done in a simple manner that attempts to follow MLA format. What I need to focus on more is trying to better my analysis of the sources I use to better flow with the small post I create.  However, I am confused when it comes to creating a blog. At times, I write with my own words and style, completely forgetting to maintain a formal style. Once I take notice, I'll delete everything and start fresh because I don't know what type o

  So, from history, we know that Puerto Rico was one of the first Islands to be colonized by the Spanish. As a result of the colonization era, people from Spain were constantly coming back and forth between the island and Europe, bringing their culture with them. In addition to European culture, the slaves that were being moved into the islands as a result of slave trading, each carrying their own distinct cultures and traditions. To top it off, you also had the indigenous people of the island, the Tiano, with their own culture. Chrstopher Columbus and his crew first set sail west of Spain in 1492 in hopes of discoverying a faster and for effiecent trade route to India. However, once the Italian found caught sight of land, it was not what he was looking for. Columbus had came in contact with the continets of North America and South America, landing somewhere near the  Bahamas. After trading with the islands native population and returning back to Spain, Columbus planned another trip in 1493 back to the West and came in contact with the island that we know today as Puerto Rico. The original population of this Caribbean Island were the Tiano people who called the island "Borike," but with the introduction of the Spanish, their population was quickly decreased to the point of near extinction as a result of diseases.        Puerto Rico, the small island that gave birth to Bad Bunny, Anuell AA, Ozuna, Daddy Yankee, and Don Omar. The literal English translation for this country is Rich Port and it does not disappoint with the amount of money these reggaetoneros make. But there is more to Puerto Rican life than being sad listening to "La Cancion" or listening to "4k" in the afternoon.      While small in size, Puerto Rico is an island with a history that would take too long to go into too much detail but somethings you might need to know about Puerto Rico. First, it has been a part of Spain but it is now considered an American Territory, where the people receive aid from the U.S. if there is a natural disaster.
